Ninoo Builder
What you can build
Websites and web apps that run in the browser, with an optional Python backend. Here is what that covers, and what it doesn't yet.
Works well
- Landing pages, portfolios and small business sites.
- Booking pages, sign-up and RSVP pages, simple forms.
- Personal tools: trackers, planners, budgets, recipe and reading lists.
- Internal tools for a team: boards, request trackers, simple dashboards.
- Calculators, quizzes, small games and interactive explainers.
- Apps that call another service's API (weather, maps, payments) with your own key kept on a backend.
On their own, these apps keep their data in the visitor's browser. That suits personal tools and demos. When several people need to see the same data, ask for a backend.
Example prompts
Each one opens the Builder with the prompt filled in. Change the wording before you send it.
- Studio booking page“A booking page for my yoga studio with a weekly calendar of open slots”Build this →
- Expense tracker“An expense tracker where I can add purchases, tag them, and see monthly totals”Build this →
- Recipe box“A recipe box I can search by ingredient, with tags for meal type”Build this →
- Team standup board“A standup board for my team with To do, Doing and Done columns”Build this →
- Meetup RSVP page“An RSVP page for a community meetup that shows who's coming”Build this →
- Refund tracker“An internal tool to track customer refunds from request to paid”Build this →
What it's made of
Every new project starts from the same small starter. You don't need to know any of this to use the Builder, but it helps if you later work on the code yourself.
| Part | What it uses |
|---|---|
| Front end | React 19 with TypeScript, built with Vite. The app starts at src/main.tsx and src/App.tsx. |
| Styling | Tailwind CSS v4. |
| Packages | Ninoo adds npm packages with pnpm when your app needs them. |
| Backend (optional) | Python 3.11 with FastAPI, in the api/ folder. See Python backends. |
| Saved data | In the browser (localStorage) by default, or in a SQLite file on the backend. |
Imported projects keep their own setup. Lovable apps use the same stack, so they import cleanly. See Import.
Not possible yet
So you aren't surprised halfway through, these aren't supported today:
| Not yet | What to do instead |
|---|---|
| A database and sign-in run by Ninoo | Connect your own Supabase account for a hosted database, sign-in and storage. See Supabase, Stripe and AI. Without it, SQLite on the Python backend can reset on the published site. |
| Email sending | There is no built-in email service. Use a provider's API with your own key, added under Secrets. |
| Mobile app store apps | The Builder makes web apps. They work in any phone's browser, but they aren't App Store apps. |
Payments and money
Apps Ninoo builds take payments only through Stripe Checkout with your own Stripe key, confirm them with Stripe's signed webhook, and never store card numbers. Add your key under Stripe. Trading, investing and crypto apps get a short “Not financial advice” note.
