Troubleshooting and FAQ

Common problems

The preview stays blankPress Try again, or Open in a new tab. If the app itself is broken, describe what you see to Ninoo, or Undo the last change.
“Something broke in your app.” above the previewYour app hit an error. Press Fix it, check the message it puts in your chat box, and send it. See When your app breaks.
“You're out of credits.”Top up on nicrron.ai → Credits, then send the prompt again.
“The project owner is out of credits…”The workspace runs on the owner's balance. Ask them to top up.
“Sends when … finishes:” above the message boxYour message is waiting its turn: one running prompt per person, up to 3 per project. It goes out by itself. The X removes all waiting messages.
“…couldn't go live on its own.”Two changes clashed and couldn't be combined. Press Try again, or Discard it. See parallel prompts.
“This change can't be undone on its own.”Later changes touch the same lines. Restore an earlier version instead, or ask Ninoo to take it out. See History.
“Nothing to publish yet”The project is still the empty starter. Describe what to build first.
Backend “Paused: monthly cap reached”The owner can raise the cap under More → Backend. See backend pricing.
Backend “Paused: owner out of credits”It starts again by itself a few minutes after the owner tops up.
The live site's /api calls fail after publishingPublish checks /api/health first. Ask Ninoo to make sure the backend starts and answers /api/health, then publish again.

Questions

Can I use my own domain?
Yes, for free. Add it under More → Domains, then add the DNS records Ninoo shows. See Use your own domain.
My domain is stuck on “Waiting for DNS”.
DNS changes can take up to an hour, sometimes longer. Check the records match exactly, and delete any other A, AAAA or CNAME records with the same name. The message under the domain says what Ninoo sees; Check now looks again straight away.
Can my app have user sign-in or a real database?
Yes: connect your own Supabase account for a real database, sign-in and storage. See Supabase, Stripe and AI. Without it, a Python backend can keep data in SQLite, but on the published site that file can reset (Keeping data).
Which AI model builds my app? Can I choose?
nicrron/builder: GPT-6 Luna, with GPT-5.4 mini and Claude Sonnet 5.5 as fallbacks. There's no model picker in the Builder today.
Who owns the code?
You do. Clone it with git, download it as a ZIP, or push it to GitHub whenever you like. See Git, import and export.
Does my published app stop when I close the Builder?
No. The published copy stays online. Only the workspace, where you build and preview, pauses.
Why did my workspace pause?
Workspaces pause after a while without activity, after a long session, or when the owner runs out of credits. Open the project to resume; nothing is lost.
Can I use the Builder and Ninoo Code with the same account?
Yes. One account and one balance cover the Builder, Ninoo Code and the Nicrron API.
