Ninoo

Ninoo Builder

Working together

Invite people to a project to watch or build with you. Up to 3 people can prompt at the same time; Ninoo keeps their changes apart and joins them up.

Roles

OwnerEverything: invite and remove people, change roles, publish and unpublish, download the code, delete the project. Pays for workspace time and the published backend.
EditorSend prompts, edit code and publish. Pays for their own prompts. Once an app has saved keys or its own Supabase, only the owner publishes it and applies backend changes, because those run with the owner's keys.
ViewerWatch the chat, code and preview, but not change anything. Can't open .env files.

Invite someone

Only the owner can invite. The owner opens Share at the top (on a phone, Share this project in the menu), or More → People, types a name or email address, chooses Editor or Viewer, and adds them. Searching by name only finds people you already share a project with; for anyone else, type their exact email address.

  • If they already have a Ninoo account, the invite appears inside their Ninoo app and they accept it there.
  • If they don't, you get an invite link. Copy the invite link and send it to them. It works only for that email address and expires after 7 days.
  • A project can have up to 10 people besides the owner, counting invites that haven't been accepted yet. You can send up to 20 invites an hour.
  • The owner can change someone's role or remove them at any time. Anyone can leave a project they were invited to.

Prompting at the same time

On a shared project, more than one person can build at once. Each person can have one prompt running, and up to 3 can run on a project at the same time.

  • The first prompt works on the app itself, and the live preview follows it as usual.
  • A prompt sent while another is running works on its own copy of the app, called a branch. It usually gets its own preview, so you can watch your change take shape; when all preview slots are in use, you see it once it merges.
  • When a branch prompt finishes, Ninoo merges it into the app. If two changes touched the same lines, Ninoo combines them, keeping what both of you asked for.
  • Prompts running on a branch, and branches waiting to merge, show as cards above the message box, with a Preview link when the branch has one. The prompt working on the app itself has no card; you follow it in the chat and the live preview.
Cards above the message box: one person building on a branch with a Preview link, and a change that needs attention with Try again and Discard
Prompts in progress, and one that needs attention.
“Sends when Alex's turn finishes: …”Your message is waiting. You can have one prompt running at a time, and a project runs up to 3 at once; it goes out by itself as soon as there's room.
“…couldn't go live on its own.”Ninoo couldn't combine the change automatically. Press Try again, or Discard it. Discard can't be undone.
Combining clashing changes is a short extra AI step, paid by the person who sent the prompt. Changes to .env made on a branch are never merged, so secrets stay as the owner set them.

Only the person who sent a change, or the owner, can discard it. Any editor can press Try again. Every merge shows up in History as “Merged branch”.
